Ausgerechnet im 20. Jubiläumsjahr der alljährlichen TOTAL Label-Compilation muss die gleichnamige, traditionsreiche Party von KOMPAKT dieses Jahr im Corona-Modus stattfinden und dementsprechend improvisieren und beschränken.
Dafür gibt es den "KOMPAKT Pop Up Store" erstmals in Köln statt in Amsterdam oder Barcelona zu erleben. Schnäppchenjäger aufgepasst! Der Plattenladen in der Werderstraße hat sein Sortiment ausgemistet und lädt am Sonntagnachmittag ab 14 Uhr zum Rumwühlen und Reinhören in Unmengen an radikal reduzierten Vinyl und CDs ein. Parallel dazu machen es sich Jules, Marie Montexier, Denis Stockhausen, Jonathan Kaspar und Michael Mayer im "Green Room" zwischen Liegestuhl und Lichterkette bequem und sorgen bis 22 Uhr für wenigstens ein bisschen Sound of Cologne im entspannten Gewand einer Gartenparty mit Freunden.
PLEASE NOTE: The garden party takes place under the Corona-regulations and therefor is strictly limited to max. 150 persons.
Ironically, in the 20th anniversary year of the annual TOTAL label compilation, KOMPAKT's traditional party of the same name has to take place in Corona mode this year and improvise accordingly under certain limitations.
The "KOMPAKT Pop Up Store" can be experienced for the first time in Cologne instead of in Amsterdam or Barcelona. The record shop on Werderstrasse has cleared out its stock and invites you to rummage around and listen to tons of heavily reduced vinyl and CDs on Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. At the same time, Jules, Marie Montexier, Denis Stockhausen, Jonathan Kaspar and Michael Mayer make themselves comfortable in the "Green Room" between deckchairs and fairy lights and provide at least a bit of the Sound of Cologne in the relaxed guise of a garden party with friends until 10 p.m.
