// DJ Emerson

As a now respected veteran of Germany’s techno scene, Emerson struck a chord with multilayered techno; enriched in quality and indicative of his synthetic electronic style. Founder of the esteemed Micro.fon imprint, he has opened the door and brought driving techno from its barren lands to a new territory built upon groove and bounce.
With releases on Sub Static and freakWaves Emerson has moved through the last decade unearthing a fledging reputation as a turn-to producer for those who love a gutful of groove despite how driving and hard-faced the music may be. As a youthful Dj and producer Emerson started out in South Germany, tinkering down a breakbeat avenue working through various clubs before getting a break at Munich’s Utraschall, that led to a nationwide tour with the respected Timing label. Subsequently, opportunities arose with several major clubs in Germany, before Emerson decided to take his sound abroad to Ibiza, Tokyo, Miami and Eastern Europe amongst others.
DJ Emerson is also an extremely prolific producer and much-loved DJ both in his native Germany and across the globe. The positive response to his work inspired Emerson to start Kiddaz.FM in 2001, a label which has clocked up over 50 releases, selling more than 100,000 units in the process, and counts the likes of Adam Beyer, Shinedoe and Chris Liebing among its regular supporters, the latter with whom he released many records on CLR’s sublabel Spinclub Records including its inaugural 12”
“Mr Nice / Cut The Crap”. His underground cuts such as Rubberband man and Truck Volume as still manage to twist handfuls of percussion and melody around a more industrial tech house backbone etching his name in to the collective consciousness of worldwide techno followers. As a modern techno-juggernaut of a producer Emerson is without doubt part of a pedigree of underground artists vastly aware of a changing German music scene that sees him deliver his gritty beats and analogue architecture to dance floors with ease.

// David Keno

Swiss born David Keno began his musical life learning classical instruments such as guitar and drums when he was 12. After playing in various rock bands he discovered his love of electronic music. He bought a drum machine and an old Korg synthesizer and started to experiment. Over the next few years he developed his skills and eventually the guys from the Pocketgame label loved his melodic productions so much that they signed him for his first release: Vernis - Bubble Bath EP which came with a fantastic Trentemoeller remix.
From there his career took off. He has released on labels such as I220, Zenit, Meerestief, Karateklub, ELP and provided remixes for Samuel L. Session, G-Man, da Fresh, Robert Drewek, Hugg &Pepp, DK8 and even 80 ’s heroes Trans –X who wanted a remix for their "living on video" that came out on ZYX Music.
The next step in his career was to launch his own label and in January 2007 Keno Records 01 was released with huge success. "Liquid" went on to be found in the playlists of many DJs.
In David Keno's DJ sets or also as a Live act his musical range goes from minimal techno to house. Very floor-oriented but often with a certain melodic touch. Maybe these are his roots from the 80 ’s shining through.
